A seminar entitled "Ammonia Production: Chemical Processes and Industrial Applications" held

On October 22, an educational seminar was held on “Ammonia Production: Chemical Processes and Industrial Applications” at Sumgayit State University (SSU) jointly organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering and Ecology and the Career and Alumni Center. The speaker of the seminar, Afsana Sayilova, a production engineer for the Ammonia Unit at the SOCAR Carbamide plant and also a graduate of SSU, gave a brief introduction about herself and shared her experience with the event participants. She made a detailed presentation on the main chemical stages of ammonia production, the technological process and wide areas of application in industry. She also provided information on safety measures in production, the application of modern technologies and how ammonia production is regulated in terms of environmental impact. Then, the Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Ecology, Associate Professor Tunzala Babayeva made a speech and emphasized the importance of continuously holding such seminars and highly appreciated the presentation of the graduate student. She also drew attention to the importance of expanding cooperation between the university and alumni in terms of mutual development.
