On October 29, an event on the topic "Application of Artificial Intelligence in the Banking Sector" was held, organized by the Faculty of Economics and Management. The event was held in English and was moderated by students.
Dean of the faculty, associate professor Logman Abdullayev opened the event, welcomed the participants and noted that such events play an important role in developing students" knowledge and skills, as well as in learning the application of modern technologies in the economic field. Head of the Department of Business Administration, Associate Professor Galib Huseynov, and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages Sevda Safarova highly appreciated the students" ability to speak freely on scientific topics in a foreign language, emphasizing that the events held in this direction strengthened their communication and presentation skills. Then, members of the Young Economists Club made presentations on the main application areas of artificial intelligence in the banking sector. In their presentations, the students highlighted the role of artificial intelligence in areas such as financial analytics, the use of chatbots in customer service, fraud detection, risk management, and personalized services. An exchange of views was held around the presentations.
