A series of events were organized at Sumgayit State University on the occasion of November 8 Victory Day. Since November 4, events dedicated to the historic victory in the Patriotic War have been held in all faculties of the university.
The events began with the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland. The events held at the faculties provided information about the historical significance of Victory Day, the valor of the Azerbaijani Army and the magnificent victory won under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. The importance of the unity of our people, the courage of our army and the power of our state on the path to victory was emphasized. Within the framework of the event, videos, poems and songs prepared by students in the spirit of patriotism were presented. In their speeches, the deans of the faculties congratulated the Azerbaijani people on this proud holiday and spoke about the historical and spiritual significance of Victory Day.
