On November 17, a seminar was held on “Innovative lesson methods and their application to the process of teaching” organized by the Department of Mathematical Analysis and Differential Equations. Head of the Department, associate professor Khayala Seyfullayeva opened the event and provided information about the purpose of the seminar. She stated that innovative lesson methods in modern higher education system are of great importance, and she spoke about the work done in this field, current practices and promising development directions. Then, Associate professor Vusala Babajanova made a speech and gave information about the contributions in terms of innovative approaches increasing efficiency, strengthening learning motivation of the students and forming interactive atmosphere. As part of the seminar, student teams gave presentations about “Applications of Mathematics on Industry” and “Applications of Mathematical Analysis on Energy”. In presentations, the importance of mathematical models in energy sector, the role of the analytic methods in the modern production processes, real-world application of mathematics in industrial field were explained. After the speeches, discussions were held around the topics, suggestions of the students were listened to. Director of Teaching Methodological Center, Doctor of Philosophy in Economics, Elnara Mammadova emphasized the importance of the seminar, and shared her ideas about the application of innovative lesson methods. In the end, Dean of the Mathematics Faculty, associate professor Khalida Hasanova and Dean of the Engineering Faculty, associate professor Ulduz Agayev thanked for the event organizing to the department, shared their precious ideas with students.
