A bilateral memorandum of cooperation was signed between Sumgayit State University (SSU) and Bursa Uludağ University (BUU) of Türkiye in order to develop of academic and scientific cooperation. Memorandum opens up new opportunities for student-teacher exchange, joint scientific researches, cooperation within the Orhun Exchange Program, as well as, implementing mutual academic projects. During the meeting, acting rector of SSU, corresponding member of ANAS, professor Aminaga Sadigov welcomed the guests and stated that closer cooperation between universities is of great importance. The rector emphasized that expanding of the scientific-institutional cooperation between Turkic-speaking countries makes a great contribution to both science environment and the development of the students. He stated that various academic exchange programs, joint researches and scientific projects are a strategic priority for SSU. Professor Aminaga Sadigov brought to attention that a memorandum signed between the two universities will create a strong legal and institutional basis for future cooperation. Vice rector who lead the delegation of BUU, professor Zekeriyya Ari spoke about the broad potential of the mutual cooperation and noted that BUU contributes to the strengthening regional academic integration with the projects it implements in the Turkic World Higher Education Field. Professor Ari noted that joint activities with SSU will create new opportunities, especially in the Orhun Exchange Program, scientific approaches in the field of finance, accounting, and auditing, digital transformation, and other areas. The signing of the memorandum was assessed as a logical continuation of the scientific cooperation environment formed within the framework of the 1st International Finance, Accounting, Auditing and Digitalization Symposium held at SSU and opened new opportunities for long-term cooperation between the parties in the areas of education, research, academic exchange, joint projects and institutional partnerships.
