On December 6, an inter-faculty table tennis competition was held at Sumgayit State University, organized by the Sports Club and the Student Trade Union Committee within the framework of “The Year of Constitution and Sovereignity”.
Vice-rector for Social Affairs and Public Relations, associate professor Elmar Khalilov opened the event and stated that such sport competitions make a great contribution to making student life more motivated. The development of sports at the university not only strengthens the physical fitness of students, but also serves to increase their social activity. A team of students from Sumgayit State University and Sumgayit State Technical College participated in the competition. According to the results of the competition, the Faculty of Natural Sciences was awarded first place, the Faculty of Engineering was awarded second place, the team of the Faculty of Sumgayit State Technical College was awarded third place.
In the end, certificates were presented to the winners.
