On December 12, an educational meeting was organized at Sumgayit State University for the schoolchildren of the Secondary School number 11 of the Zangilan district, on the occasion of the Commemoration Day of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. At the event, the school delegation – Head of the library, Zinyet Orujova, Head of the Children’s Union, Gulnar Esgerova, ICT laboratory assitant, Lale Jafarova, and school administrative employee, Beyaz Allahverdiyeva attended together with the schoolchildren.First, the guests visited the Information Library Center of SSU during the meeting. The Director of the Center, Leyla Allahverdiyeva welcomed the schoolchildren, briefed them on the library’s activities and introduced a special corner dedicated to the life and statehood activities of Heydar Aliyev. She provided extensive information about the books, publishes and archive materials reflecting the Great Leader’s legacy. An employee of the Library Information Center, Shahla Rzayeva explained to the students the capabilities of the electronic library and the rules for using digital resources. Continuing the excursion, the schoolchildren visited the Heydar Aliyev Center operating under Sumgayit State University. The center's director, Tarana Namazova spoke about the great leader's unparalleled services in the history of our statehood and introduced the students to the archival materials and expositions displayed at the center. The meeting made a good impression on the schoolchildren and enabled them to learn more about the legacy of Heydar Aliyev.
