On December 24, a business meeting was held between the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ACE) and Sumgayit State University (SSU) to establish and develop cooperative relations. At the meeting, the university's acting rector, corresponding member of ANAS, professor Aminaga Sadigov welcomed the guests and provided information about SSU's development strategy and goals. He stated that the main goal of SSU is to become a new generation higher education institution that responds to modern challenges, trains competitive personnel, and is distinguished by its scientific and research activities. Aminaga Sadigov emphasized the importance of close cooperation with industrial and business structures to achieve these goals. He noted that strengthening university-industry relations creates broad opportunities for adapting educational programs to the requirements of the labor market, improving the practical knowledge and skills of students, as well as implementing joint research and innovation projects. He also highlighted the concrete steps taken in this direction at the university in recent times, the signed cooperation agreements, the organization of industrial internships, joint projects, and the positive results achieved in the field of personnel training. He confidently stated that the cooperation to be established with ACE will further strengthen the integration of the university with industry, contribute to the socio-economic development of the country, and serve to train qualified specialists. Expressing satisfaction with the meeting with the university staff, Secretary General of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ziya Hajili provided information about the projects and initiatives implemented by the organization he leads. He noted that the confederation carries out consistent and purposeful activities to develop the entrepreneurial environment, strengthen relations between employers and educational institutions, and prepare young personnel for the labor market. Ziya Hajili emphasized that it is among the main priorities of ACE that students of higher education institutions operating in the regions, especially, establish direct communication with the country's business entities, undergo real practical experience in production facilities, and actively participate in various joint projects. He noted that such initiatives have broad potential in terms of developing entrepreneurship, implementing new ideas, and strengthening human capital. As a result of the discussions held during the meeting, a mutual agreement was reached to establish and gradually develop cooperative relations between the parties. Then, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the parties.
