A conference entitled "The Role and Place of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Sumgayit City Organization in the Development of Sumgayit" was held, dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of the Sumgayit city organization of the New Azerbaijan Party. At the beginning of the event, employees of the NAP Sumgayit city organization visited the monument of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in Sumgayit and laid flowers in front of the monument. The memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan were commemorated with a minute of silence. The National Anthem was played. A member of the New Azerbaijan Party and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the New Azerbaijan Party, Ramiz Huseynov spoke at the conference and emphasized that the New Azerbaijan Party is an important stage in the political history of our country. He noted that the party created by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev played a decisive role in strengthening the ideas of statehood and ensuring stability. The chairman stated that this political line was successfully continued under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, and drew attention to the fact that the historical Victory was the most brilliant result of that strategy. Ramiz Huseynov also spoke about the social and public initiatives implemented by the organization in Sumgayit and noted the active position of the New Azerbaijan Party in the socio-political life of the city. He emphasized the organization’s activities serve the socio-economic development of Sumgayit and the strengthening of social solidarity. First Deputy Head of Sumgayit City Executive Power, Teymur Samadov, Member of Parliament, Tahir Mirkishili, Veteran of the party, Nazila Jalilova, and Vice-rector for Social Affairs and Public Relations of Sumgayit State University, Elmar Khalilov highly appreciated the leading role of the New Azerbaijan Party in the development strategy of our country. The speeches emphasized that the achievements achieved under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev have further increased Azerbaijan’s international prestige, and noted that the initiatives implemented by the local organizations of the New Azerbaijan Party in the regions serve to strengthen social solidarity. At the end of the event, a group of veterans of the party, First Deputy of Sumgayit City Executive Power, Teymur Samadov, Member of Parliament, Tahir Mirkishili, Veteran of the party, Nazila Jalilova, and Vice-rector for Social Affairs And Public Relations of Sumgayit State university, Elmar Khalilov were awarded honorary certificates and prizes, and membership cards were also presented to young people who became new members of the NAP. The event ended with the singing of the Anthem of the New Azerbaijan Party.
