The opening of the "Study in Azerbaijan" education exhibition took place in Kazakhstan - SSU is represented at the exhibition
On April 6, the opening ceremony of the “Study in Azerbaijan” international education exhibition of Azerbaijani higher education institutions was held at the Farabi Hub Innovation Center of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The exhibition aims to strengthen strategic partnership in the fields of education and science between the two countries, and to inform students and young specialists about educational opportunities in Azerbaijan.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullayev, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, heads of leading higher education institutions of both countries and education specialists. Along with about 25 leading universities of Azerbaijan, Sumgayit State University (SSU) is also represented at the exhibition. University representatives provide detailed information to the exhibition participants about the specialties, educational programs, international cooperation opportunities and directions of scientific activity at SSU. Within the framework of the exhibition, applicants and students have the opportunity to obtain extensive information about higher education opportunities in Azerbaijan, grant programs, academic mobility, dual diploma programs and admission requirements. Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek spoke at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, emphasized that this initiative is a logical continuation of cooperation in the field of education between the two countries. He said that more than 2,500 Azerbaijani young people participated in the “Study in Kazakhstan” exhibition held in Azerbaijan last year, and about 80 important agreements were reached within the framework of that event. The Minister noted that such initiatives will create wider opportunities for cooperation in the future.
In his speech, the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Emin Amrullayev emphasized the importance of integration in education and said that Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are countries with common historical and cultural values. According to him, cooperation in the field of education further strengthens this closeness, and such platforms make a significant contribution to helping young people make the right choice of profession and develop into internationally competitive personnel. It should be noted that the “Study in Azerbaijan” international education exhibition will continue its activities on April 7-8.
