On April 28, subject Olympiad on chemistry and biology under the motto “Today’s pupil is tomorrow’s scientist” was held among IX-XI grade students of Sumgayit city which was dedicated to 95th anniversary of Great leader Heydar Aliyev. The aim of holding the Olympiad is to increase the interest of schoolchildren to the subjects of chemistry and biology, as well as to assist upper class students with choosing specialty. 
It should be noted that 124 schoolchildren participated at the Olympiad. On chemistry 17 9th grade pupils, 35 10th grade pupils and 20 11th grade pupils; on biology 26 9th grade pupils, 13 10th grade pupils and 13 11th grade pupils participated in the event. The schoolchildren taking first, second and third places will be awarded with Honorary diplomas of Sumgayit State University.
