Holding subject Olympiads has already become a tradition at Sumgayit State University. On April 29, subject Olympiad on Mathematics under the motto “Today’s pupil is tomorrow’s scientist” was held among IV-XI grade students of Sumgayit city which was dedicated to 95th anniversary of Great leader Heydar Aliyev. The event was organized by Sumgayit State University and Education Department of Sumgayit city. The purpose of the Olympiad was to increase the interest of young people to exact sciences, to reveal skilled persons and to support their specialty selection. 600 schoolchildren from 37 secondary schools of  Sumgayit participated there. The results of the Olympiad will be announced this week and the winners will be awarded.
