On May 2, the student conference was held, dedicated to the life and creativity of outstanding representative of Azerbaijani romantic literature, great turkologist, writer Huseyn Javid in the Department of Azerbaijani and foreign countries literature of Faculty of Philology. 
The dean of the Faculty of Philology Sevinj Hamzayeva , deputy dean Zohra Gafarova, head of the Department of Azerbaijani and foreign countries literature Professor Aftandil Mammadov, head of the Department of Azerbaijani language and its teaching methods PhD in philology Boyukkhanim Eminli, senior laboratory worker Matanat Aghasiyeva and students participated in the conference. By opening the event, the docent of Department of Azerbaijani and foreign countries literature Tora Mammadova emphasized the significance of Javid’s creativity and the state attention to his creations. She expressed her gratitude to participants and gave information about conference program. 
The following students from the different groups of the Faculty delivered presentations: Samira Mammadova, Nuraya Isayeva, Jahan Sevdimaliyeva, Ilaha Isazade, Zahra Hashimova, Mina Safikhanova, Gunay Akbarova and Samaddin Ganbarov – “Turkism in H.Javid’s creativity”, “Ideological contents of the “Prophet”, “The characters of Afat and Artoghrul in “Afat”, “Woman destiny in “Maral”, “Artistic picture of the idea of the author in “Sayavush”, “The problem of demonism in “Iblis”. The predefined jury chose the best 2 speakers of the conference. The students were awarded with presents and the Faculty expressed the gratitude to them. The conference was concluded by poet, Professor Rafig Yusifoglu; he congratulated the students, appreciated their works and gave his recommendations. He noted that this kind of conferences stimulates the creativity of students.
