On May 7, intellectual knowledge competition “What? Where? When?” was held at Sumgayit State University by the organization of Committee of Student Trade Union dedicated to 95th anniversary of Great leader Heydar Aliyev. 
At first the memory of Heydar Aliyev was commemorated by one minute silence. 
Vice-rector on Humanitarian issues Ramiz Huseynov greeted the participants and widely spoke about services of the genius leader, the founder of sovereign Azerbaijan, in the development of country’s education system. He notified that the rapid growth of Azerbaijani education is associated with the name of National leader. When he first came to power in 1969, speedy improvement of secondary and higher education in Azerbaijan, as well as cadre preparation launched. He always cared the development of science and education in all stage of his administration and tried for intellectual society. The vice-rector emphasized that by maintaining his political course, President Ilham Aliyev cares the field of education along with other areas. Emphasizing the significance of the organized knowledge competition docent Ramiz Huseynov noted that these contests increase the interest of students to different subjects, demonstrate their preparation level in these disciplines and reveal talented youth. He expressed his assurance that the competition will serve to strengthen their sense of academic motivation and direct to future achievements; wished success to the teams.  
7 teams participated in the competition. They struggled for being the winners of the contest of 3 rounds. The team of Faculty of History and geography won first place, the team of Faculty of Mathematics second place, team of Faculty of Chemistry and biology third place. 
In the end the members of winning team were awarded with the diploma and cup.
