International relations of every university are the reflection of its achievements. Being successfully represented in several international projects, Sumgayit State University has gained substantial results on establishing and strengthening relations with prestigious educational institutions, on organizing teacher and student mobility. The University is expanding its international relations with its intellectual potential and scientific achievements and places special attention on setting up cooperation not only with foreign universities, but also universities of our Republic. 
Joining to “Mevlana Exchange Program” is one of the successful steps by SSU. Exchange protocols have been signed by Sumgayit State University with Adiyaman, Chankiri Karatekin University, Nevshehir Haji Bektash Veli University, Nejmettin Erbakan University, Sakarya University, and Adnan Menderes University of Turkey within “Mevlana Exchange Program”, which is running student and teacher interchange among universities. Within those protocols, senior lecturer of the Department of Economics PhD on economy Saadat Humbataliyeva has gained the right to participate in the program with scholarship this year. According to the letter № 13960143/310.99/ sent by Sakarya University, Saadat Humbataliyeva was invited to that university for exchange program during 15.10.2018-28.10.2018. She will teach lectures on Micro and macroeconomics. The topics will be “Demand and supply”, “Market equilibrium”, “Production expenses and income”, “Macroeconomic equilibrium”, “Unemployment and inflation”, “Economic growth models” and “State regulation of economics”. Mrs. Saadat will also take part at seminar lessons on the same subject. 
It should be noted that “Mevlana Exchange Program” is established by Turkey Council of Higher Education and is financed by the Republic of Turkey. The purpose is to adopt high quality education and international experience.
