Socio-political stability in the country, determined in result of internal and foreign policy, conducted by President Ilham Aliyev, as well as care and attention to science and education, reforms implemented in this field have opened great opportunities to the advancement of Azerbaijani science. Azerbaijani education and culture were included into broad integration processes like its economy; interchange of scholars, teachers and students has got a wide range. The close cooperation of higher education institutions of our country with universities, science and innovation centers of other states is a sample of care and attention to this field.

Sumgayit State University makes significant strides toward expansion of international relations, our professor-teacher and student staff has been awarded with certificates by actively participating in forums, conferences and meetings held in foreign countries.

On October 18-19, International scientific-practical conference “Химия, химические технологии и экология: наука, производство, образование” was held in Mahachgala, the capital of Dagestan Republic by the organization of Dagestan State University. Scientists from Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus and other countries were invited to the conference. Scientific researcher of “Environmental monitoring” SRL Fizuli Shahgeldiyev represented our university in the conference and delivered report on “Роль макулатуры МС-1А в решении проблем экосистемы” and “Получение целлюлозосодержащего реакционноспособного мономера из макулатуры МС-1А”. He was awarded with document of gratitude and certificate.
