Sumgayit State University is integrating into European science and education arena, conducts teacher and student exchange, cooperates in several fields and participates at international projects and programs. The university expands its international relations day after day. Our scholars visit Turkish universities: Adiyaman University, Chankiri Karatekin University, Nevshehir Haji Bektash Veli University, Nejmettin Erbakan University, Sakarya University, Adnan Menderes University within the framework of “Mevlana Exchange Program”, which implements student and teacher interchange among education institutions. From October 14 to 28, senior lecturer of the Department of Economics of the Faculty of Economics and Management PhD on economics Saadat Humbataliyeva participated in the program.

Our scholar conducted the lecture within 8 credits in the specialty of Economics of the Faculty of Political sciences of Sakarya University in bachelor and master’s degree on the subjects of Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Introduction to economic sciences and Economic industry. The topics were demand and supply, balance of producer and consumer, identity curves and budget line. Along with it, Mrs. Saadat delivered presentation for professor-teaching staff of the Department of Economics, as well as master and PhD students on the subjects “Petroleum industry in Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and its improvement”, “Chemical industry of Azerbaijan”, “Fuel industry of Azerbaijan” and “The roles of these industries in economic relations of Turkey and Azerbaijan”.

It should be noted that Sakarya University is one of the prestigious universities of Europe and well-known scientists work here. Mrs. Saadat discussed joint oil and gas projects of Turkey and Azerbaijan with Prof.Dr Mustafa Akal, Prof.Dr Shahin Shimshak and Prof.Dr Aziz Kutlar within the program.

Chairman of International Department of Sakarya University Nariman Kanbur widely spoke about bilateral collaboration between our universities and presented a certificate to Saadat Humbataliyeva for active participation.
