Our lands, which have been occupied for 30 years, are now in the hands of their owners. Under the leadership of President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani army liberated our occupied lands in 2020, destroying the enemy in the 44-day Patriotic War. The Azerbaijani youth formed over the past 18 years has been at the forefront of the Patriotic War. It was these young people who fought the enemy and liberated our native lands. Even they did not see these lands. However, they sacrificed their lives and liberated our occupied lands. Because these lands are an integral part of Azerbaijan.

As they are at the forefront of the liberation of our lands from occupation, our young people are at the forefront of the restoration and construction work carried out here today. Our youth is also actively involved in the recovery process.

Despite the short time since the war, the restoration work is being carried out rapidly today. Large-scale infrastructure projects are being implemented in the region. In general, the road infrastructure is being reconstructed, comprehensive measures are being taken to supply the region with electricity. District master plans are being developed and restoration work has already begun in many districts. By the order of President Ilham Aliyev, this year has been declared the Year of Shusha. Reconstruction work was carried out in a short period of time in Shusha, and many openings took place. Despite the short period of time, the scale of the work done in the liberated territories shows the economic strength of our country.

As a pilot project, Agali village of Zangilan region is being reconstructed on the basis of the "Smart Village" concept. The construction of the village is to completion. In a short time, the residents of Agali village will move to their native villages. The "Smart Village" concept, initiated by President Ilham Aliyev, embodies the wishes of the President. Yes, this is how the head of the state sees the restoration of the liberated territories as a whole. What level the head of the state wants to see in these lands, what comfort he wants to see for the people, is reflected in this project.

Recently, during a meeting with young people, President Ilham Aliyev gave good news to each of us about the restoration of our liberated territories and the great return. The President said that Zangilan Airport will be commissioned this year. Quite a few new jobs will be created here. By 2023, the railway will be built to the Armenian border. President Ilham Aliyev stressed that the Azerbaijani youth is actively involved in all this work. Most of the employees are young people. As all our cities are restored, these jobs must be filled, first of all, by young people with modern knowledge, young people from liberated areas.

Five hydropower plants will be built on the liberated lands this year. The power plants to be built will strengthen our overall energy potential, as well as create new jobs. Of course, this step is a very important factor for a great return process. As we see in Shusha. Most of the people working here are young people.

They took an active part in all projects implemented for the development of our country. The restoration of our liberated regions and new infrastructure projects to be created here will further increase the power of our country. At the same time, the youth will benefit from this work. All this work is carried out for the development of our youth, a more prosperous and safe life.
